Joanne has been the Care Manager here for twenty five years and has laboured to implement great changes and advancements in it's structure and organisational culture. Joanne first felt inspired to take on a career in Nursing after the care she and her baby received from the local hospital when he was born prematurely. Despite being at the head of the company, Joanne enjoys spending as much time as possible with the service users here as she has a compassionate and caring nature.
Angela is our longest serving member of staff at Newford Nursing Home. She remembers her first shift when she and a team of care staff were nursing just one single patient as the home first opened! Angela trained as a nurse in the Royal Navy and is our Clinical Lead; heading a team of great nurses to provide a high quality standard of nursing care. As a Deputy manager, she is a vital support to the Care Manager; is deeply methodical in her work and strives to provide the best for the people in her care.
Chris is our Front of House and will be the first person to meet you as you come to Newford Nursing Home. Chris is an essential part of the management team; taking the lead on non-clinical matters by managing all finances, the reception, telephony system, arranging client assessments and admissions, and overseeing the catering and domestic teams. As a homage to his hobby of theatre work, Chris also takes time out each month to present our service users with an all-singing, all-dancing show.
The Nursing Team come from various specialist backgrounds of nursing care and have decades of experience between them.

Wearing a hot pink uniform, you will find more information on our activity staff on the page here dedicated purely to Activities.
We also have volunteers who lovingly spare their time for Newford. Our volunteers are truly treasured and come as they can to take part in activity sessions or to simply sit and chat to our service users on a one-to-one basis.
